Harvest Bible Chapel: Follow

About the Campaign

Harvest Bible Chapel is launching the Follow Initiative, a capital campaign rooted in Luke 9:23-27, emphasizing what it means to be a disciple of Jesus by denying oneself, taking up the cross daily, and following Him. This initiative aims to transform faith, shape lives, and direct steps toward Christlikeness through teaching, reflection, and action.

Financial Goals and Allocation

The Follow Initiative seeks to raise $12 million over 25 months, starting in March 2025, from the current $6.2 million committed. These funds will be allocated across three key areas:

  • Build Up (33% / $4 Million): This portion will enhance church facilities to foster connection and ministry effectiveness. Plans include refreshing hospitality areas, upgrading technology and aesthetics, and investing in next-generation spaces for families, students, and young adults to inspire spiritual growth.

  • Send Out (17% / $2 Million): This allocation focuses on equipping and sending more disciples and church leaders. It will expand training programs like Harvest Deploy and new residency opportunities, strengthen the apprentice program, create a deeper bench for church leadership, plant two new local church campuses in Chicagoland, and support Harvest Christian Academy in its move toward greater independence. It will also grow partnerships with organizations such as The Chicago Partnership, SEND (NAMB), and Compassion International.

  • Pay Down (50% / $6 Million): The largest portion is dedicated to reducing the church's current debt. A $6 million reduction is expected to free up approximately $1.5 million annually in debt payments, allowing for increased investment in disciple-making and global gospel advancement.
